As I was walking out of the gym this afternoon, I saw a bunch of younguns crowding the patio area next to the dining hall. I realized: it has begun. CTOPS is starting up so there will be lots of young impressionable fresh meat on campus. Now hold your fistfuls of confetti- their parents are here too- until the events at night start up. And no, that’s not some dirty joke; the parents and chill’un are pretty inseparable during the day, but they have separate group activities at night. I had a strong urge to go back after my shower and check out the scene but that would be a bit too skeezy for my taste. So I’ll just watch from a distance for now until I can think of a better way of enjoying pre-freshmen.

Yikes, I haven’t updated in a while I realize. James has been living with me and that’s been making things a little different. I’ve only met one new cute blond boy anyway so there hasn’t been much to report. He’s room mates with my friend Amber and likes to drink and play mario kart wii so…perfect :)

I’m watching Chicago on my new dvr system and Queen Latifah just made her entrance so I’ll update later I promise!

Aaarg! Cook?! Really America? I mean sure he has the talent and the potential and a hot brother, but he isn’t a cute little 17 year old! I mean even if you shave off that 90s stubble, his face is…I dunno. It just doesn’t do it for me.

I watched the Idol Finale for 2 agonizing hours with some straight people on my couch- needless to say I am not pleased. I’m going to sign off because the Flavor of Love 3 Season Finale is coming up and I STILL have not seen it.

I’m reflecting on the American Idol season finale part 1 while watching Hell’s Kitchen and I’m pretty sure Archie creamed David Cook. Like totally obliterated him. Even Simon was humping his leg all night which caused him to nearly break down into tears (awwwww) but I totally agree, and NOT just because he’s hot 17 year old booty.

Ok mostly.

They were both really good; I honestly don’t know why they were picking on David Cook so much- oh well. I guess they want to get it over with, unlike the democrats.

This weekend was truly memorable! James and I had a little celebration on Friday night which ended up bringing a lot of new people to my house. I enjoyed meeting all the girls who are still around for Summer School, though I don’t remember any of their names. Me and James started drinking around 8 and they didn’t arrive until around midnight. Mr. Big helped us drink before the rest arrived. We were alternating between GTA4 and Jaegerbombs.

Needless to say, there was no Saturday morning for us. We visited with Joel and Bekka, played some bored ;) games and made tacos. Bekka and I wanted to see Baby Momma because of Tina Fey so we dragged the straight boys to that. It was pretty much as I expected: meh. But afterward, I got to see T.E.B so that ended the night well.

Today was great! I spent it outside while it was beautiful and sunny, and then read poetry and philosophy once the rain started. Fabulous. Lots more texts from Fratboy and I’m thinking it’s not really worth it so I’ve stopped responding. He’s pretty meh too, but now I have a boy living with me for the summer! Who cares if he’s straight…

My straight friend James is visiting me this weekend! This is going to be really fun. We’re living together in a few months anyway so it’s not really going to be that different. It’ll be good to have him around :J

Barack was endorsed by John Edwards today. Can you imagine an Obama/Edwards ’08 ticket? That would be one hot mess of a presidency. I know it has my poll numbers rising just thinking about it!

I have to say, I really admire Hillary for continuing on in the face of all this animosity. She got some diva funk in there somewhere, but girl, come on. Don’t take this away from us!

Anybody else excited about this sexy-as-hell prospective ticket?

Have you seen the new Mento’s mouthwatering gum? I watched it and was absolutely disgusted.

In the commerical, this guy is chewing the “mouthwatering” Mentos in an office next to a watercooler. Some lady walks up, and open mouth kisses him at which point we hear gulping like she’s drinking water. EWWWWWWW. This is horrible marketing! Nobody wants to think about drinking spit, and the guy wasn’t even hot!

Now I’m going to feel queasy when I see the candy section. Or when I drink water. Or when I see a woman kissing a man. :P

This weekend was certainly memorable. I spent Thursday and Friday night in Raleigh.

Friday was the Rihanna/Kanye “Glow in the Dark” Tour and I went with The Barber, and two friends. Pregaming started at 5:30pm and I don’t think the drinks stopped until about 2am. Ow my liver. The concert was fantastic, and not just because Rihanna was singing! In fact we arrived during the middle of her performance (noooooooo) but managed to hear Please Don’t Stop the Music! We sat up on the lawn so the only way to see the people on stage was via the big screens all around. I was pretty indifferent about Kanye performing until he came out. His performance utterly kicked butt! It was like a futuristic sci-fi rap-opera featuring all of his songs from Graduation, as well as Gold Digger, Diamonds are Forever, and Jesus Walks. He even threw in some Journey for randomness. The visual effects were incredible! I’m so glad I went- then after the concert ended we drove around until it was late enough to go to Legends; we were all whores.

Saturday started off with my parents showing up at my house 2 hours early. They found 3 hung over boys and me sitting around in a mess of alcohol…yeah. My grandparents were with them. So after everyone was dressed and sent on their way, the rest of the weekend became family time. They were here for my college graduation on Sunday.

Unfortunately it was cold and rainy all day today- which made our graduation a 20 minute montage of chancellor, singers, and alums. I was glad to get out of the stadium and away from the cold rain.

I spent the afternoon at Vishwan’s house for the first time, and enjoyed his mothers fantastic Indian food and talked with fellow gradutates. Then I met up with Mr. Big to go see Iron Man. I actually wanted to see Baby Momma because, as you know, I love Tina Fey; however, Mr. Big wasn’t interested.

I’m sorry I haven’t updated in forever, I’ve just been busy! And I think I’m coming down with something, my throat was kind of sore when I woke up today… :(

Obviously bad news; Jim Neal got clobbered last night by Kay. For some reason I had hope- I guess I was just swept up by all the other Neal supporters. Jim did a really good, clean campaign and he was the better man for the job, but NC doesn’t elect people based on qualifications it seems.

On the lighter side, I’ve found two new playmates. One of them comes highly recommended by T.E.B. and the other I met at the Jim Neal primary night party. Even better than that, I have 4 tickets to the Kanye/Rihanna/Lupe Fiasco/N.E.R.D. concert in Raleigh this Friday! I’m so excited! I really want to see Rihanna and Kanye, but I hear the others are really good too. I still have a ticket available if you’d like to join some gays. If not, your loss.

I’m gonna head out to meet some fabulous friends on Franklin Street to provide emotional support… among other things!
